Since being diagnosed in 2017 Sierra has become a health coach, completed all of the prerequisites for a Masters Degree in Nutrition (including biochemistry at Harvard and physiology at Duke) and will be starting at University of Texas at Austin online in the fall. She has also taken trips to Hawaii, NYC, Southern California, road trips through Utah and Nevada, and has attended at least 100 concerts and plays in those 9 years. She enjoys living in San Francisco (since the 1900s!) and makes the most of events, beaches and parks there.

It's important to continue doing FUN activities!! Board games with the family, road trips, even watching documentaries and discussing them after (the kids still talk about Poop Cruise haha), it's important to work FUN into your life as often as possible

Find something or somewhere that brings you true peace and calm each day. It can be a walk on the beach or meditation in bed but it's very important for healing. Fresh air and movement are also a non-negotiable. If you don't use it, you lose it.
